My Golden Thread is an independent building-safety information initiative developed and operated by Ironmark Digital Ltd.
Why we exist
Buildings outlast the organisations around them.
Building-safety information is routinely fragmented across contractors, consultants, managing agents, email inboxes and document-management systems.
My Golden Thread exists to help create a persistent, understandable and defensible record that stays with the building. We publish plain-English guidance and practical resources while developing software around the same principles.
We are not part of the Building Safety Regulator, the Health and Safety Executive or HM Government. We do not present our interpretation as official guidance, and our content is not a substitute for competent professional or legal advice.
Our philosophy
Public value first. Commercial honesty always.
We believe basic Golden Thread tools should be accessible, rather than exploiting a statutory requirement purely as a commercial opportunity.
The public site is designed to be useful even if you never use our future platform. Where the application is not yet available, we say so. Where information is uncertain, we would rather expose the uncertainty than conceal it.

Ironmark Digital Ltd develops specialist digital information services. My Golden Thread is one of those services and is editorially independent of government, regulators, trade bodies and product manufacturers.
