Cookie and browser-storage notice

This notice explains how My Golden Thread uses cookies and similar technologies, including local storage. Local storage allows a website to save small pieces of information in your browser. The rules applying to these technologies are commonly referred to as the cookie rules.

Essential preference storage

We use this local-storage item to remember whether you selected “Accept analytics” or “Essential only”, together with the date and time of your choice. This prevents us asking on every page. It remains until you change your choice or clear the site's stored data in your browser.

This storage is necessary to remember the privacy choice you asked us to apply. It does not contain an analytics identifier.

Optional Ironmark Insights analytics

Ironmark Insights helps us understand which pages and resources are useful. The analytics script is not requested or executed until you actively accept analytics.

If accepted, Ironmark Insights may create the following local-storage items:

im_vid_[tracking key]

A randomly generated visitor identifier used to distinguish visits without asking for your name or email address. It remains until you withdraw consent or clear the site's stored data.

im_sid_[tracking key]

A randomly generated session identifier and activity timestamps. A session expires after 30 minutes of inactivity. The stored record is removed when the tracker next detects that it has expired, when you withdraw consent or when you clear site data.

ironmark_retry_queue

If an analytics request cannot be delivered, a limited local queue may temporarily retain the request so it can be retried. Items are discarded after 24 hours, after three failed attempts, or when you withdraw consent. The queue is capped at 50 items.

Analytics may record page views, referring pages, downloads, outbound link clicks, scroll-depth milestones and active-session heartbeat events. More detail is available in our privacy notice.

Change or withdraw your choice

Select “Cookie settings” in the footer at any time. Choosing “Essential only” removes the Ironmark visitor identifier, session record and retry queue from local storage, then stops analytics on the next page load. You can also remove stored data through your browser settings.

Withdrawing consent does not affect analytics processing that took place while your earlier consent was valid.

Browser controls

Most browsers let you inspect, delete or block cookies and local storage. Blocking all browser storage may mean we cannot remember your privacy preference and will need to ask again.
